The topic of sustainable and healthy nutrition is on everyone's lips - this also includes the trend towards vegetarian or vegan nutrition, which has been gaining in importance for years. This year, INTERNORGA is once again relying on its partnership with ProVeg International, the competence centre for plant-based food.
Whether at the ProVeg booth or in the context of impulse lectures on the Open Stage - ProVeg will provide insights into the vegan rankings of system catering, present interesting concepts for success or inform about raw materials and manufacturing processes of the future. Katleen Haefele, Head of Food Services & Events, ProVeg e.V., explains why visitors to INTERNORGA should not miss this under any circumstances:
"The out-of-home market is helping to shape the current change in nutrition: Plant-based dishes are increasingly becoming the new 'normal'. Plant-based alternatives are by no means only of interest to people who follow a vegan diet - according to a study by a global market research institute, 90 per cent of sales in the plant-based market are generated by people who consciously follow a flexitarian diet. So, offering vegan options on the menu gives restaurateurs a competitive edge. That's why we are back at INTERNORGA 2023 with the Centre of Excellence for Plant-Based Nutrition. We will present future trends and best practices, give advice and tips on introducing plant-based dishes."
