In the ultimate discipline, participating baristas prepare twelve beverages in a 15-minute stage presentation—four espressos, four milk-based drinks, and four signature beverages as individual creations—for a sensory jury.

In the preliminary round held on Friday and Saturday with ten participants, evaluations on presence, work methodology, hospitality, sensory description, and overall impression determine who advances. The Latte Art Championships challenge the best latte artist in the country. Precision and the creative execution of planned art come to the forefront – with milk foam on the crema of an espresso. Participants compete in various categories, such as the Freepour, where only a milk jug is used, and the Designer Latte, which allows additional tools like pen-like instruments or food coloring.

Before the presentation time, participants have 10 minutes at the Artbar to create a design of their choice. This creation is anonymously photographed and evaluated as part of the overall score. Ultimately, it will be determined who will represent Germany at the highly esteemed World Latte Art Championships, taking place from 26.–28. June in Geneva.

At the Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, coffee and spirits merge into innovative cocktail creations. – „Where coffee art meets mixology!“.

In a 10-minute stage round, participants present two Irish Coffees as a standard drink along with two self-created Designer Drinks – where creativity, balance, and artisanal skill are in the spotlight.

The jury evaluates how harmoniously the combinations work and how appealingly the drinks are presented. The best talents qualify for the world championship, which will take place from 26.–28. June in Geneva.
